Music, theater and other forms of entertainment

During the last two days, my sister, Kathy; her husband, Gary; their granddaughter, Rowan and I have enjoyed two musical productions. Yesterday, we saw “In the Beginning” at the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA. Although there was some “creative license” with the biblical story, the staging and the live animals were great. Rowie was excited to be seated at the end of the row so she could enjoy the activity of actors and animals in the aisles. After the show, we came home to my sister’s for dinner. Later in the evening, I had a wonderful visit with two friends, Sam and Julie, in Palmerton, PA.

This morning, I had breakfast with Liz, my best friend from college. It had been a few years since I saw her and it was so great to catch up. This afternoon, Kathy, Gary, Rowie and I saw “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. “Alexander” is one of my favorite children’s books and this production of it was excellent! We all really enjoyed it. We are all back at Kathy’s right now, getting ready for a campfire tonight. Looking forward to toasting marshmallows and making s’mores.

Tomorrow I am heading to Philadelphia. I look forward to reconnecting with even more friends as this journey continues. Until next time, peace …

Is it not always good to get back in touch with old friends. Enjoy your blog, I haven’t had time lately to get around the blogging world.
